Mississippi Miss Amazing is made possible by our dedicated and experienced volunteer committee.
Lori Brasfield-Sanders -In addition to running a business which allows her to mentor young women, Lori also donates her time and experience to non-profit organizations that empower girls and women. In 2014, Lori founded Girls of Grit, a summer day camp that provides activity based learning for girls and teenagers. Girls are exposed to a variety of career paths, taught leadership skills, and practice value-based decision making. Girls who attend camps credit the experience with building their confidence, expanding their world view, and being encouraged to pursue non-traditional careers. In 2015, Lori was asked to take on the role as state director for the Mississippi chapter of Miss Amazing Inc. Her second year as Director, we grew the state program 50%, traveled the state promoting the event, and made appearances with the Miss Amazing representatives.
Lori believes that all of these endeavors fulfill her purpose, which is to support and empower girls and women.
